Park Jimin is a member of the kpop group BTS. He is a part of the maknae line, born October 13th, 1995. His positions in the group include Lead Vocalist and Main Dancer. Since his debut in the group in 2013, he has been adored and loved by all fans (ARMY's). He was the last to join BTS with only six months of training before debuting. Jimin has broke many records as a solo artist, such as being the first kpop soloist to hit a #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He began his solo career with the song "LIE" in BTS' "Wings" Album in 2016. Since then, he has released multiple singles, such as "Promise" and "Serendipity", as well as two albums: Face & Muse.
My personal journey with BTS started in late 2020. To be honest, he is not the first (or even second member) that stood out to me; that would be Jungkook and Namjoon. However, he is the one who has set my heart on fire the past five years. Jimin's unique vocal tone and his ability to dance like an angel hooked me. I remember how I felt the first time I listened to "Serendipity" from the "Love Yourself: Her" album. I truly understood how it felt to 'resonate' with a song.
Jimin is someone I can always come back to when i'm down and need a pick-me-up. He is like a stitch on an open wound - he helps me heal. He has so many things that reminds me of myself: either who I am or who I want to be. I know he has faults, as everyone would, but he is someone who makes me strong and that acts as a 'role-model' for me. He is not ashamed of who he is. He's not scared to not fit in a box of who people thinks he should be. I see the way he challenges peoples thinking through his dance and music. I, too, want to be able to challenge people's thinking through my own work.
